
There are lots of other recipes for gochujang substitute but they all call for red miso paste or some other paste that I don’t have.
This recipe is really simple, just 4 simple food cupbord ingredients and you can make a paste that really resembles the real gochujang.
Ingredients
Makes 1 tsp gochujang-style chilli paste
1 teaspoon chilli powder
½ teaspoon light soy sauce
½ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon sesame oil
Method
Mix all ingredients to create a paste.
