Ingredients
2 servings
Apple filling
500 g apples, cored and cut into 1cm cubes
1 tablespoon plain flour
50 g sugar
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Crumble
45 g porridge oats
80 g plain flour
50 g sugar
0.5 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
65 g unsalted butter, cubed
Pinch of salt
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Place apple cubes in a bowl. Add flour, sugar and cinnamon, Toss with the lemon juice then spread out evenly in a baking dish. I use a loaf pan as I like how easy it is to cut into 2 square servings.
- Place crumble ingredients in a bowl. Mix until clumps form. Spread over the apples.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and apples piping hot. Remove, cover loosely with foil to keep warm and let stand for a few minutes before serving.
